I Had a Simple Childhood

I have been working on this a little at a time until the last few days. All of a sudden I was into it and made a lot of progress, though it is still in the pretty early stages. I have had changes of thought (several times) on what the background will be. First, it was to be concrete, where we obviously played jacks! Then, I started interspersing ribbons of the red, blue, green, violet colors that I used for the jacks. I like that loose background but it needs to be much darker. If that happens, I may lose the feel of that looseness. Stay tuned for the outcome! The photo color is not too good either because it's a digital photo instead of a scan (rainy day). The original is 16x20 and doesn't fit my scanner bed.
